How should one live in the city?

In eight different cities the interdisciplinary research group "Urban Ethics: Conflicts about the good and proper conduct of life in 20th and 21st century cities" (funded by the German Research Foundation) examines the answers to this question. We research on ethical controversies about the good and proper way of urban living, that condense in problematisations and models of an "ethical" conduct of urban life as well as diverse negotiation processes.
The sub-projects focus on Auckland, Berlin, Bucharest, Istanbul, Moscow, Munich, Singapore and Tokyo, in a second funding-phase (since May 2018) Mexiko City, New York City, Rio de Janeiro and Tiblisi were added. .
